I’m Not Licensed—But I Am Highly Trained, Deeply Experienced, and Here to Help

When it comes to recovery—whether you're seeking freedom from addiction, navigating life as the loved one of someone who struggles, or working to break long-standing family cycles—what you need isn’t always a therapist with a clipboard. Sometimes, what you need is someone who’s walked the road, who truly understands, and who has the training to guide you forward without judgment.

That’s where I come in.

My Educational & Professional Background

I hold a Master’s degree in Addictions Counseling. In 2023, I passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE)—a national standard for professional counselors—and I’m an active member of NAADAC (The Association for Addiction Professionals), which keeps me up to date on training, ethics, and best practices in the field of recovery.

While I have chosen not to pursue state licensure at this time, this decision is intentional—and rooted in both personal and practical reasons. As a military spouse, my family moves frequently. Licensing requirements often vary by state and can create unnecessary delays in providing care. Recovery coaching gives me the flexibility to continue supporting my clients no matter where I’m living—because all of my work is done virtually, via Zoom.

This allows me to be fully present and consistent with the people I serve, regardless of geography.

Why I Chose Recovery Coaching

Recovery coaching offers a unique, collaborative, and forward-focused alternative to therapy. I don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions—I walk beside you. I help you clarify your goals, build accountability, challenge old patterns, and step into a new version of yourself.

My approach bridges the gap between clinical support and real-world application. Whether you’re newly sober, struggling with someone else’s addiction, or feeling stuck in generational patterns, I help you stay grounded and move forward with purpose.

Lived Experience Meets Formal Training

Alongside my education and professional development, I bring something that can't be taught: lived experience. I grew up in a home affected by addiction. I know the silence, the shame, and the resilience it takes to survive it—and to heal from it.

That’s why I do this work: not from theory alone, but from a deep place of empathy, insight, and hard-won wisdom.

Who I Work With

  • Individuals navigating early or long-term recovery

  • Family members or partners of someone struggling with addiction

  • Adult children of addicts/alcoholics

  • People who feel stuck in shame, chaos, or unhealthy patterns

  • Anyone seeking healing, direction, and lasting change

You Deserve Support—Wherever You Are in Your Journey

You don’t need a diagnosis to ask for help. You don’t need to hit rock bottom. You don’t need to figure it out alone.

If you’re ready for real support from someone who gets it—I’m here. I offer compassionate, professional, and trauma-informed coaching, all from the comfort and privacy of your own space, via Zoom.

Addiction: A Choice, A Disorder, An Outcome

People love to argue about addiction —is it a disease, or is it a choice? I used to wrestle with that question too. But the more I’ve seen, lived, and learned, the more I believe it’s not that simple.

When EVERYTHING changes.....

Let’s be honest — change sucks sometimes. It’s uncomfortable. It’s messy. It shakes up everything we’ve worked so hard to feel “normal”...
